BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration)

BBA is 3-year professional course that opens a plethora of opportunities in sectors like marketing, finance, sales, and alike. Moreover, there are various specializations in this course which makes it suitable for students from all streams such as science, commerce, and the Arts. The admission criteria is based on the entrance test conducted by different colleges or universities.

Eligibility
Interested aspirants for the course need to fulfill the below-mentioned BBA eligibility criteria.
1. Completion of HSC (10+2 level) from a recognized educational board
2. English as one of the subjects at HSC
3. The minimum aggregate score of 50% to 60% at 10+2 level of education
Note:-Students who have appeared in HSC examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

Admission Process
Admission to the course is generally an entrance exam based. The entrance tests are organized at national, state or university levels by various authorities. A merit list is prepared on the basis of qualifying examination or entrance examination.
Most of the BBA colleges conduct separate entrance exams for admission to the BBA course.

Some of the entrance exams conducted for BBA course are as follows:


1. DU JAT
National Test Agency conducts Delhi University Joint Admission Test annually for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate courses in Delhi University.
I. One can easily excel in this exam if he/she focuses more on class 11 and 12 maths.
II. There will also be a GK section in this exam and for this Business related GK and Economics will be sufficient.

2. GGSIPU CET BBA
IPU CET (Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test) is a university-level entrance exam conducted for admission to 60 undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses.
I. To excel in this exam, one must focus on Communication and Management skills as this test has more questions related to business GK and communication skills.
3. SET BBA
SET or Symbiosis Entrance Test is a common test conducted by Symbiosis International University for admission in undergraduate courses in the fields of Law, General, Design, Engineering and Health Science.
I. The test covers questions from English, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, and Reasoning sections. All the questions are of moderate difficulty level.
II. For General Awareness, Current affairs and static GK will be sufficient.

4. AIMA UGAT
AIMA Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) is a national level examination conducted annually by the All India Management Association (AIMA).
It is conducted to screen capable candidates for admission in various courses such as BBA, BCA, Integrated MBA, BHM, B. Com, etc.

5. IPMAT IIM Indore
This entrance exam is conducted for admission into a five-year Integrated programme in Management.
I. There is a total of two sections in this test i.e. Quantitative Ability (60 Questions) and Verbal ability (40 Questions).
II. Verbal ability tests a student on the basis of Reading Comprehension, Critical Reasoning, Vocabulary and ParaJumbles whereas the Quantitative Ability tests a student on some topics like Geometry, Mensuration, Probability, Progressions, Matrices, Permutations & Combinations, and some other important topics of mathematics. Some Questions will also be on Data Interpretation.

6. IIM Rohtak IPM Aptitude Test
IPM at IIM Rohtak is a comprehensive management program with a combined course of management studies from under-graduate (UG) to postgraduate (PG).
I. On successful completion of 5 years, the participant will be awarded with Master of Management Studies (MMS) by IIM Rohtak.

II. If any student intends to exit after successfully completing the programme requirement at the end of 3 years, he/she will be awarded with a degree of Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS).
III. Admission is through online IPM Aptitude Test of 2 hours duration
Computer Based Test, Total Questions:120 MCQs, Sections: 1) Quantitative Ability (40 Qs); 2) Logical reasoning (40 Qs); 3) Verbal Ability (40 Qs)
Admission to the BBA course is also done on the basis of Lateral entry i.e. entrance to the course in the second year. Universities like Lovely Professional University and Annamalai University provide this option. The eligibility for this is the qualification of the first-year examination from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.

Admission Process of Some of the Top Colleges
1. Maharaja Surajmal Institute
Maharaja Surajmal Institute is ranked ‘A’ grade by NAAC with a score point of 3.02. It offers courses at the undergraduate level in the field of commerce and business administration.
There are two streams for the BBA course: BBA (General 360 seats) and BBA (Banking and Insurance 120 seats).
The admission will be done through the GGSIPU CET BBA entrance exam.
A minimum aggregate of 60% marks in class 12 from any approved/recognized board is required for getting admission in this college

2. Keshav Mahavidyalaya
Keshav Mahavidyalaya is ranked ‘A’ grade by NAAC and this institute is known for its excellence in education.
This college offers two programmes named BBS and BMS and there are 46 seats in total.
A minimum aggregate of 60% marks in class 12 from any approved/recognized board is required for getting admission in this college.
The admission will be done through the DU JAT entrance exam.
Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in the entrance exam and a merit list will be prepared for counseling. After counseling, admission will be done.

3. DeenDayal Upadhyay College, Delhi

DeenDayal Upadhyaya College is ranked ‘A’ grade by NAAC and this institute is known for its excellence in education.
This college offers two programmes named BBS and BMS and there are 46 seats in total.

A minimum aggregate of 60% marks in class 12 from any approved/recognized board is required for getting admission in this college.
The admission will be done through the DU JAT entrance exam.
Admission will be done on the basis of score obtained in the entrance exam and a merit list will be prepared for counseling. After counseling, admission will be done.

4. Christ University
Christ University is a private university and it is known for its undergraduate courses as it comes under the top 10 colleges for UG courses.
There are three streams for the BBA course: BBA (Finance and International Business), BBA (Honours) and BBA (Tourism and Travel Management)
The admission is done through the entrance exam. After clearing the entrance, the student has to go for the final selection round which consists of a micro presentation and personal interview.
Before giving the entrance exam, the student has to present himself in person with mandatory documents on the designated date.

5. St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai
St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai is ranked ‘A’ grade by NAAC with a score point of 3.63. It offers various courses at the undergraduate level.
For getting admission to this college, the student must give the specified entrance exam and before giving the entrance exam, the student should also fill the pre-admission form available on their website.
The student must have passed the class 12 examination with minimum aggregate marks of 65%.
