CTET Exam Pattern 2019, Eligibility, Marking Scheme and Syllabus for Paper 2
CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) The national level exam is conducted at two levels, Paper 1 (Primary Stage) and Paper 2 (Elementary Stage). Both the papers are conducted on a single day in different shifts. Here i am going to explain CTET Paper 2 Exam.
Paper 2: This Paper is for candidates who wish to teach classes 6 to class 8.
Paper 2 consists of 4 sections:-

Here are the minimum qualifications for becoming appearing in Paper II:
Elementary Stage - Any One Of These
- Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed (Special Education)
- Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.
There are a certain set of instructions which must be followed while handling the (Optical Mark Recognition) OMR Sheet. Candidates must abide by the given instructions and follow the rules stated regarding OMR Sheet while attempting CTET 2019. Given below are few facts and guidelines related to it:
Candidates will find OMR Sheet placed inside a sealed test booklet. The seal must be opened only after the announcement by the invigilator.
Code like A, B, C or D printed on OMR sheet will be same as mentioned in the test booklet. OMR Sheet will be scanned on an optical scanner. Candidates should ensure that OMR Sheet is not folded.
Do not write your Roll number anywhere except in a specified space in OMR sheet. Side 1 of OMR sheet contains following columns which are to be filled clearly and accurately with ball point pen (blue/black). Use of pencil is strictly prohibited.

Tips And Strategies For CTET Exam
Try to gauge your level: Sit back and reflect that where are you in the exam preparations. What are your needs? Where you are lacking behind? How much will you be able to cover etc. This reflection will help you in planning for further.
Watch out syllabus and pattern: Look for the pattern of the paper and the whole syllabus in detail. This will help you identify what topics you already know what you need to study deeply. This will also work as a checklist one you start preparing.
Planning:Once you have reflected upon your needs and identified the syllabus and areas to work upon you must lay out the plan. Plan your daily routine and fix the time to study for subjects. Find time for each and every subject simultaneously so that you do not get bored after studying one subject again and again.
Focus on Child Development & Pedagogy: Child Development and Pedagogy is the most important subject of CTET exam and pedagogy area of all the subject is somewhat guided by this only so try to work on this subject and make it strong. Study NCF 2005 and NCERT textbooks: Studying NCF 2005 will give clarity about the ideas of learning and also it will guide you for the pedagogies of different subjects. NCERT textbook will be helpful for paper II as the content area is entirely from NCERT only.

CTET Paper 2 Exam Day Instructions
Guidelines which have to be followed during CTET examination 2019 are listed below. Candidates must carefully go through them before sitting for CTET 2019:
A. The test will start exactly at the time mentioned on CTET Admit Card.
B. Candidate will be asked to open the seal of the Test Booklet five minutes before the commencement of paper.
C. Check carefully that Test Booklet Code printed on Side 2 of OMR Sheet is same as printed on Test Booklet.
D. Immediately report the matter to invigilator for replacement of both the Test Booklet and OMR Sheet in the case of any discrepancy.
E. During the examination, the invigilator will check the admit card to verify the identity of a candidate. F. Candidates must use ballpoint pen (Blue/Black) only. Use of pencil is strictly prohibited and will be rejected.
G. Candidates will mark the answers on the OMR sheet only after the announcement of the invigilator.
